This Privacy Policy explains what freepdf2word (“we”, “us”) collects on freepdf2word.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the website, OCR (Freepdf2word AI), PDF tools, accounts, and Premium.

1. Who we are

freepdf2word provides online tools that turn images and PDFs into editable Word files and that organize, convert, and protect PDFs. For questions about this policy, email support@freepdf2word.com.

When you upload a file, you decide what is in it. We process that file only to run the tool you chose. If the file contains other people’s data, you must have the right to upload it.

2. Data we process

Account and billing

  • Email address, password hash, and account status if you register.
  • Premium subscription status and Stripe customer or payment references (not full card numbers).
  • Support tickets and messages you send us.

Files you upload

  • The document or image itself, page counts, file size, and the output we generate (for example a Word file).
  • We read file contents only as needed to convert or transform them. We do not use your files to train public AI models and we do not sell document contents.

Usage and technical data

  • Pages processed, tool used, time of the job, and whether you were a guest or a member.
  • IP address, browser type, language preference, and basic device information.
  • Security signals such as Cloudflare Turnstile results when that check is enabled.

3. Why we process it

  • To provide the service — run OCR and PDF tools, show results, keep you signed in.
  • To enforce fair use — daily page caps, file-size limits, and abuse prevention.
  • To take payment — create and manage a Premium plan through Stripe.
  • To support you — answer tickets and fix failed jobs.
  • To keep the site safe — detect fraud, spam, and attacks.
  • To meet the law — tax, accounting, or a valid legal request.

If we send optional product emails, we do so only when you have an account and you can opt out. Transactional mail (password reset, job-ready notices you asked for) is part of the service.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Infrastructure and processing providers that host the site or run conversion, under our instructions.
  • Stripe for Premium payments.
  • Cloudflare (or similar) if Turnstile or CDN protection is on.
  • Authorities when the law requires it.

Some providers may be outside your country. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps that are reasonable for a service of this size (contract terms and HTTPS).

5. How long we keep data

  • Uploaded files and outputs — kept only as long as needed to finish and download the job, then deleted from working storage.
  • Optional share links — up to about 30 days, then they stop working.
  • Account records — while the account is open, then as long as we must keep them for legal or billing reasons.
  • Server logs — a limited time for security and debugging.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your account data, or to object to certain processing. Email support@freepdf2word.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify it is you.

You can close a session by logging out. You can ask us to delete your account. Guest jobs are not tied to an email, so we cannot look them up the same way.

7. Children

freepdf2word is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when the product or the law changes. The “last updated” date below will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new policy for future use.
